How to get started with Android Development

  1. Download and install the Sun's JDK
  2. Download and install Eclipse (if you have trouble pinning to task bar, edit the ini file with -vm and path to java bin - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=314805)
  3. Download and install the Android SDK
  4. Download and install the Android Plug-in for Eclipse (ADT)
  5. Configure the ADT
  6. Add a virtual machine for testing and debugging
  7. Connect a hardware device using the ADB and a USB cable (may require drivers)
